Did you know that Americans purchase approximately 1.6 billion Christmas cards every year? Well, I bet some of you didn’t but don’t worry you are not alone, I too didn’t know until a few days ago when I was doing my research. Do you realize that we are only two weeks away from Christmas? I can’t believe it, but I am so excited. I hope you already have your plans for this holiday festive if not check out some tips over here. Other than that, I have already finished my own planning and guess what, I am at home and I wouldn’t be happier to be here with my family.

For today’s post, I will be sharing with you 15 interesting facts about Christmas, here we go:

  1. Did you know that the ‘X’ in Xmas is a Greek abbreviation for Christ?
  2. Did you know that Santa Claus has different names in different countries: Sheng Dan Lao Ren in China, Father Christmas in England, Papa Noel in Brazil and Peru, and Pere Noel in France?
  3. Did you know that Santa would have to visit 822 homes per second to deliver presents to everybody’s home on this planet, travelling at 650 miles a second?
  4. Did you know that two weeks before Christmas is the most popular time for couples to break up? Christmas Day, on the other hand, is the least favorite day for breakups? According to a 2010 study conducted on Facebook.

  1. Wow! These are some really fun Christmas facts. I didn’t know people ate at KFC in Japan on Christmas! That sounds so delicious and so fun. I would rather go out to dinner on Christmas than tay home and cook. Merry Christmas!
