Hello my lovely people, I hope you are having an amazing day. We are still in the New year, new resolutions mood. Setting goals is part of our everyday journey and succeeding into that has a particular feeling that pushes you to even do better things in the future. Well, I believe setting goals is one thing and achieving them is another. The first step is deciding and knowing what you really want, the second part is more practical which requires you to get started on the way forward.
I am sure most of us have things that what we would want to have achieved by the end of 2019, right? If you don’t have any yet, you could steal some from my list here (no hard feelings I promise hahaha). Furthermore, in 2019 we are living aesthetically, aren’t we? I know the answer is yes. For today’s post, I will be sharing with you some easy ways to achieve your goals in 2019, You have probably heard them so many times, but I would like to remind you of them.
Let’s get started now into the ways:
Create a vision board
A vision board has some powers that are just unfathomable. When you have your goals written somewhere, seeing them every day when you wake up and tracking how far you are going makes it so much easier to achieve them. This reminds you what you want to achieve and pushes you to go after your goals. That being said, set specific goals which you will be able to achieve in the span of time you’ve given yourself because having too broad goals won’t make it easy for you. In addition, the size of the board doesn’t matter instead specific goals do, just whether it be a digital one or a physical one though I will suggest a physical one. On that note, I am having one this year too.
Be realistic
I always like to say this, and you’ve probably heard it somewhere else, aim high but start small, which means being more realistic. Being ambitious is all good but you have to start somewhere near where you are. Trust me, setting ambitious goals can require more efforts than the usual and if you haven’t tried to achieve the small ones, it will stress you out. For instance, if your goal is to save up to $ 1500 by the end of this year but every weekend you are out eating or going to parties, it will not work out I promise. You see, you are aiming high, but are not being realistic. Instead, be more pragmatic. Instead of eating out many times, buy things you need and start cooking at home. You will save more than you think this way. Be realistic
Have an action plan
If your goal is still to save up to $1500, break the whole process down as this will be much easier than anticipated. For instance, give yourself an action plan that by the end of a particular month you will have saved a specific amount of money and how all this will be done. This will also go a long way in abandoning some bad habits that may prevent you from achieving your goals. As a practical example, draft your expenses per month as this will allow you to see how much money you use, hence get a full picture of how much you would like to set apart for savings.
Be kind to yourself
No one said achieving your goals will be smooth because sometimes you will face stumbling blocks which will make the whole process a little more difficult, but that’s okay. Let me remind you to be kind to yourself, accept failure and don’t give up. Take a moment to sit down, evaluate what worked and what didn’t, then take corrective actions. Failure shouldn’t stop you from achieving your goals, it should motivate you instead.
Track progress
It is important to keep track of how far you have come. Whether it be a journal or an app where you have been tracking your progress, do it and go back to check where you are from your goal, as this will motivate you till the end. I like to do this especially when I am on my journey to losing weight, I like to check on my progress because it does motivate me to go ahead. You should do the same, it does work.
Celebrate every milestone and keep going
Every milestone is worth celebrating. If by the end of June or July you will have saved up to $700, celebrate that because you will be in a better position than someone who hasn’t saved a coin. So take yourself out and keep going.
Sending sunshine your way,
Carny
To be realistic of myself is the one i like.

Merci pour ces idées constructives. Je souscris notamment au principe de disposer d’un plan d’action. Si nous fixons nos objectifs et les couchons sur papier, c’est le premier pas vers la réalisation. Pourvu qu’il y ait suivi et évaluation.

This is a great list! Having an action plan makes such a difference than trying to go after one big goal and hoping for the best. I still haven’t even decided on any goals, so that would probably be a good place for me to start 😉 Thanks for sharing!

For me it’s all about planning ahead. If I don’t plan ahead, I might as well call it quits before beginning ❤

This is a fantastic post! I love the idea of a vision board, I really enjoy scrapbooking and cutting out inspirational words and pictures so I think a vision board would work well for me. Keeping track of things in a planner is another great way to stay on track, I’m such a planner nerd I love writing things down and I think that is what keeps me motivated. Thank you for sharing your ideas ❤ xx

Thank you for sharing this simple yet effective list to keep the momentum to achieve goals. We often forget to be realistic while setting our goals. And pushing ourselves too much without being kind and realistic takes away all the energy to achieve those very goals. Thanks for sharing💕
