Hello lovelies, I hope you are having an amazing time with your loved ones for this festive season. The decorations, the lights, the smiles, family gatherings, generosity, nice intentions towards others, all this sums up Christmas for me and why it is my favourite time of the year. Do you realize that we are only a few hours away to Christmas? For that being, I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and happy new year to you all my readers. Take time to enjoy with your loved ones, reach out to the needy persons and celebrate with all the joy that comes with the baby Jesus.
2018 for me has been the most unexpected and mysterious year of my life and I am glad we have come to the end of it. To be honest I hadn’t planned to post anything until next year, but something came up in my mind and I thought I would share it with you. As we are all setting out our new year resolutions and plans, I wanted you to ask yourself, WHY?
Ask yourself why are you doing what you are doing? Why are you blogging? Why are you doing that degree? Why are you in a relationship with that particular person? Why are you reading that book that you hold so dearly? Or simply why not? For this same reason, as we approach the new year, I would like you to take some time away to reflect on all those questions and have answers. You might not get all the answers and that is okay but at least reflect a bit on your life over 2018.
Below are some few tips that can help you to do so and become better individuals.
• Self-reflect: Take your time apart and reflect over the year 2018. Become aware of who you are and the things you would want to accomplish in life. Identify some of your strengths and flows and use them to become the best version of yourself. Celebrate how far you have come and how far you are yet to go.
• Evaluate yourself by looking back on the successes and failures. Identify where you went wrong and take some corrective measures you would like to apply. Set an action plan to correct what hasn’t worked well as this will enable you to know where you stand.
• Be forgiving: Forgive yourself for the failures, for the time you couldn’t make it because failure is not fatale, it is the courage to continue that counts.
I know it was a very short post, however I hope it encourages you to become better individuals in 2019 by identifying your Why. This is the same reason why I am taking this time off and see you in 2019. We will be back better and beautiful.
Once more, wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy new year. May 2019 be a year of growth, success, great achievements and opportunities, love and happiness. Have an amazing time with your loved ones and stay blessed.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR
Sending sunshine your way. See you in 2019
